Pastor Luther F. Butler Jr., is from Blytheville, Arkansas. He is the sixth of seven children of (the late) Luther F. Butler, Sr., and Mrs. Dovetta Butler. He is a 1986 graduate of Blytheville Senior High School. He received his B.A Degree in Biblical studies in 2007 from Minnesota Graduate School of Theology, Brooklyn Center, Minnesota.

He is the husband of Patricia Butler, and the parent of three children, Taneia, Xarius, and Jay. He has three grandchildren, Cerenidy, Harmony, and Darryl.

Pastor Butler surrendered his will to the Lord and accepted his call to ministry in 1998, under the leadership of the late Dr. PJ. James, Pastor of the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church of Blytheville, AR. Pastor Butler was licensed and preached his first sermon on August 23, 1998, After a few years of faithful service, Dr. James ordained Pastor Butler, where he became a member of his ministerial staff, carrying out all duties of the ministry assignments. After the passing of Dr. PJ James, Pastor Butler later joined United M.B. Church in Gobler, Missouri, under the leadership of Pastor Larry Guyton to serve as his spiritual covering.

In 2001 Pastor Butler was called to Mt. Zion M.B. Church in Hayti, Missouri, where he served faithfully until 2012. Where he was called and flourished to a larger ministry role as pastor of the First Missionary Baptist Church, in southern Illinois. There he served faithfully until 2018, when Pastor Butler were spiritually led to relocate, he and his family, to St. Louis, Missouri to be near his grandchildren.

Pastor Butler’s faith, patience, love, humility, and influence motivated him to respond to the Great Commission given by Jesus Christ, [Matthew 28:19]. He firmly believes that only what he does for Christ will last. He laborers in the vineyards for Christ on an on-going basis and stated, “I am a born again, spirit fed, and Bible led Evangelistic Pastor.” A preacher who is born of God engrafted into Christ and is a habitation of the Holy Spirit. God is his light and salvation – whom he fears. He believes in one Lord, one faith, and one baptism.

Overall – Jesus Christ and no other is the feature, focus, and function of Pastor Butler’s ministry. He is not ashamed of the gospel because he knows it is the power of God unto salvation to those that believe it.

Pastor Butler’s mantra: “I love you, and there’s nothing you can do about it!
